Biography

Aditya Hendrani, MD, FACC, is a general cardiologist in the Section of Regional Cardiovascular Medicine of The Tomsich Family Department of Cardiovascular Medicine, Miller Family Heart, Vascular & Thoracic Institute. He sees patients at Cleveland Clinic Akron General.

Specialty Interests: Heart failure with preserved ejection fraction (HFpEF), heart failure with reduced ejection fraction (HFrEF), hemodynamics, hypertension (HTN), preventive cardiology, cardiac imaging, valvular heart disease

Experience: Dr. Hendrani is experienced in diagnostic cardiac imaging and caring for patients with heart and valve disease, including heart failure. He has performed more than 200 transesophageal echocardiograms (TEEs) and more than 300 diagnostic cardiac catheterizations and interpreted hundreds of echocardiograms and cardiac stress test results.

He is board certified in internal medicine, echocardiography, nuclear cardiology, cardiovascular disease and cardiovascular computed tomography (CT). He also is a Registered Physician in Vascular Interpretation and is a fellow of the American College of Cardiology.

Education: Dr. Hendrani earned his doctorate in medicine from the Faculty of Medicine, University of Indonesia, Jakarta, Indonesia. After graduation, Dr. Hendrani was a general practitioner in community health centers in remote areas of Indonesia for several years. In 2013 he relocated to the United States for an internal medicine residency at Medstar Union Memorial and Good Samaritan hospitals, Baltimore, affiliates of University of Maryland and Johns Hopkins University schools of medicine. He then completed a cardiology fellowship at Louisiana State University Health Science Center, Shreveport, La., which included a visiting fellowship in cardiac imaging in the Mizzou Division of Cardiovascular Medicine, University of Missouri School of Medicine, Columbia, Mo.

Dr. Hendrani was named to the Cleveland Clinic medical staff in 2024. Previously, he was a staff cardiologist and director of the echocardiography lab in the Cardiopulmonary Services Department at University of Pittsburgh Somerset Hospital, Somerset, Pa.

Research, Publications and Speaking: Dr. Hendrani has coauthored papers published in leading medical journals and made oral and poster presentations at regional and national cardiovascular medicine meetings.
