Surgical removal of benign and malignant tumors of the head & neck (skin, salivary glands, nasal cavity, paranasal sinuses, oral cavity, oropharynx, hypopharynx/larynx, trachea), microvascular reconstruction of the head & neck, thyroid and parathyroid surgery, minimally-invasive transoral robotic surgery (TORS), transoral laser surgery (TOLS) of the larynx, parotid and submandibular gland surgery, neck dissection, minimally-invasive endoscopic sinus surgery for sinus disease and sinonasal tumors, endoscopic transsphenoidal removal of pituitary tumors (with neurosurgery colleagues), "rescue" flap for management of osteoradionecrosis (ORN) of the jaw, carotid body surgery.

Alexander Jones, MD graduated from Purdue University magna cum laude in 2015. He then graduated from Indiana University School of Medicine in 2019. He also completed his otolaryngology- head and neck surgery residency at Indiana University in 2024. He then completed his fellowship in advanced head and neck oncologic & microvascular reconstructive surgery at he Cleveland Clinic in Cleveland, OH, in 2025. 

His practice focuses on benign and malignant tumors of the head and neck region including skin cancers, thyroid and parathyroid disease, parotid and salivary gland tumors, mouth and throat cancers and tumors of the nose and sinuses. His specialty also involves complex local and free tissue reconstruction after removal of head and neck tumors. Included in this is a "rescue" free flap for osteoradionecrosis of the jawbone after radiation therapy. This is a less invasive surgery to preserve bone in the jaw than traditional bone free flap reconstruction with faster recovery. In addition, he performs endoscopic procedures through the nose and sinuses to remove skull base tumors and pituitary disease with his neurosurgical colleagues. 

Dr. Jones has authored numerous publications and has focused clinical and translational research in frailty, sarcopenia, and cachexia in head and neck cancer patients. His work has been published in reputable journals such as Head & Neck, Laryngoscope, Otalaryngology-Head & Neck Surgery, and Facial Plastic Surgery & Aesthetic Medicine

In his spare time, he loves to be physically active with running, cycling, swimming, and boxing/kickboxing. He also loves playing piano and chess and enjoys traveling.
