Biography
Dr. Aman Pande is the Scientific Director of the Cleveland Clinic’s Interstitial Lung Disease (ILD) Program and an Assistant Professor of Medicine at the Cleveland Clinic Lerner College of Medicine.
Interstitial lung diseases are rare conditions characterized by varying degrees of inflammation and pulmonary fibrosis. These include idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis (IPF), hypersensitivity pneumonitis, and autoimmune-related ILDs. Dr. Pande joined the Cleveland Clinic in 2011 and has extensive clinical experience in the diagnosis and management of ILD and sarcoidosis. His research focuses on the diagnostic process, quantitative assessment of disease severity using pulmonary function testing and CT imaging, and the use of non-steroidal immunosuppressant medications in selected patients.
Dr. Pande earned his medical degree from the University College of Medical Sciences in New Delhi, India, and completed his internship and residency in Internal Medicine at MetroHealth Medical Center in Cleveland, Ohio. He subsequently completed fellowship training in Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine at the University at Buffalo, New York.
In 2024, Dr. Pande earned a Master of Science degree in Clinical Research from Case Western Reserve University. He has authored several peer-reviewed articles and serves as the principal investigator for the Cleveland Clinic in multiple clinical trials in pulmonary fibrosis. He has presented at international pulmonary conferences and serves on the Scientific Review Committee of the Pulmonary Fibrosis Foundation.
Dr. Pande remains actively engaged in clinical practice focused on interstitial lung disease and pulmonary fibrosis. In addition to Ohio, he is licensed to practice medicine in New York, Indiana, Kentucky, West Virginia, and California.
