Biography

Currently, I am an assistant professor in Pediatrics at the Cleveland Clinic and care for newborn infants at the Cleveland Clinic Health System, including the Main Campus and Fairview Hospitals. I completed my medical diploma from Baba Raghav Das Medical College in Gorakhpur, Uttar Pradesh, India. I completed my pediatric residency at King George Medical University in Uttar Pradesh, India, and another at MetroHealth Medical Center in Cleveland, Ohio, and then went on to do a fellowship in Neonatology through the combined program at Cleveland Clinic-MetroHealth in Cleveland, Ohio. I have also completed a Master's of Public Health in Epidemiology from the University of Liverpool in the UK. I am a certified telehealth professional by the American Heart Association and an accredited Epic Electronic Medical Record builder.

Professional Highlights

I have been invited to give talks at international conferences. I have also served as a moderator for the Pediatric Academic Societies' Annual Conference this year and the Cleveland Clinic's Annual Neonatology Conference. I have been a member of the planning committee for the SHINE neonatology conference since 2024, managing abstract submissions and reviews. I have presented more than > 50 abstracts (including oral presentations) in national pediatric conferences. I have also published a chapter in a book about social inequity. I have reviewed manuscripts for several reputable journals, including JAMA Pediatrics, Pediatrics, and Pediatric Research. I have also had the honor of being appointed an international editor for the journal World Journal of Pediatrics and, most recently, as associate editor of the journal Maternal Health, Neonatology, and Perinatology. I was invited to serve as the guest editor for a special edition of the same journal this year. I have served on multiple committees of the American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP), including chairing the International Community Access to Child Health Monitoring & Evaluation subcommittee, which awards eight seed grants to pediatric practitioners in low- and middle-income countries. I was elected Vice Chair of the AAP Section on Telehealth Care's research subcommittee.
