For such an up close and personal appointment, I cannot imagine going through it with anyone other than Dr. Spivak. She made a very uncomfortable situation as pleasant and tolerable as I imagine it could ever be. She was patient and attentive to my questions/concerns and answered/addressed each and every one them thoroughly and compassionately. Though the prognosis in my Individual situation is slightly less than favorable, I couldn't imagine anyone else delivering the information in a more thorough, appropriate, thoughtful and assuring manner. Dr. Anna Spivak: my experiences with Dr Spivak have been absolutely 150 % excellent from my first contact all the way through cancer surgery and after surgery. I was so very fortunate to have had Dr. SPivak as my surgeon. There were times when issues presented themselves of decisions that needed to be addressed. I did not know how to respond and Dr SPIVAK was fantastic in helping me that process also. I would highly and strongly recommend Dr. SPIVAK TO BE YOUR DOCTOR. SHE IS VERY HIGHLY INTELLIGENT AND A GREAT DR. AND SURGEON.

Dr. Spivak is very knowledgeable and well-versed in colorectal issues and pelvic floor disorders. While she might be a little direct and not have the best bedside manner in that she doesn't coddle you, she knows her stuff and is adept as a surgeon. I am glad we sought a second opinion from her.
