Biography
Asad ur Rahman MD, FACP serves as staff gastroenterologist at the Digestive Disease Institute. He is also the associate program director for GI fellowship program and core faculty for Internal Medicine Residency at Cleveland Clinic Florida.
Dr Rahman graduated summa cum laude from Khyber Medical College, Pakistan. He subsequently did Internal Medicine residency from Advent Health Orlando where he served as Chief Resident and received the award for being the most outstanding resident from the American College of Physicians and for outstanding research. Following this, he moved to Cleveland Clinic Florida for Gastroenterology fellowship where he also served as Chief Fellow. Upon completion of this fellowship training, he has stayed on as staff gastroenterologist.
Dr Rahman has a specialty interest in Inflammatory Bowel disease. He has over 50 peer reviewed publications and has presented his research in local and international meetings. He has also been invited to give lectures at the Florida Gastroenterology Society and American College of Gastroenterology meetings. and for grand round lectures at the Cleveland Clinic and other institutions. He has a passion for medical education and volunteers to help medical students, residents and fellows for mentorship in research and career development.

Dr christina Fernandez came in first And she was phenomenal!! Came in knowing my history listened and even gave me time to pull up tests from my primary at Baptist. Very very caring and knowledgeable! I wish she was my primary!!

Dr. Rahman is the best doctor ever! He's so knowledgeable, kind, listen to you, wants his patients to have the best results from any treatment he prescribes. I choose a teaching facility for all of my medical appointments. The fellow came in, introduced himself and asked pertinent questions. He obviously had read my chart and familiarized himself with me. Dr. Rahman (gastroenterologist) is an excellent physician. He is at a a world renowned healthcare facility which is why I chose him. He listens to my questions, answers them and treats me with my very best outcome in mind.
