Cassandra Beck, DO, is a staff physician in the regional Department of Vascular Surgery, Miller Family Heart, Vascular & Thoracic Institute at Cleveland Clinic Akron General Hospital. Education: Dr. Beck holds a bachelor’s degree, magna cum laude, in exercise science and a master’s degree in nutritional sciences from State University of New York at Buffalo, N.Y. She earned her medical degree from Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine (LECOM), Bradenton, Fla. She completed a five-year integrated residency in vascular surgery at Cleveland Clinic, selected as administrative chief resident in her final year of training, and joined the Cleveland Clinic Akron General medical staff in 2021.

Research, Publications and Speaking: Dr. Beck has coauthored research papers published in major vascular surgery journals and has made podium and research poster presentations at national medical meetings.

About Dr. Beck: “I enjoy vascular surgery because of the variety it provides. I enjoy being able to operate all over the body and treat a wide range of disease processes. I find it very gratifying to help sick patients with life- and limb-threatening disorders and improve their quality of life.  As a vascular surgeon I can offer patients a variety of approaches, including endovascular and open surgery options and develop long-term relationships with my patients.”

Leisure Activities: When she is not working, Dr. Beck enjoys skiing, gardening, home renovations and family time.
