Biography
Colonel Clayton J. Rabens, MD is a dual board-certified Family Medicine and Aerospace Medicine physician with a distinguished career in both military and clinical leadership. With over two decades of experience in the U.S. Air Force, Dr. Rabens has served in diverse roles, including staff physician, Wing Surgeon, and most recently, Group Commander of a large outpatient military treatment facility. His expertise spans acute and preventive care, operational medicine, and medical leadership, all underscored by his commitment to providing personalized, whole-person care. He has extensive experience working in the Special Operations community providing direct medical support to elite military members and their families.
Dr. Rabens is deeply committed to building relationships with his patients and tailoring care to meet their individual needs. He takes the time to understand each patient’s physical health, emotional well-being, spiritual values, and social circumstances, recognizing that these interconnected elements are essential to achieving long-term wellness. His philosophy of care is rooted in proactive prevention and evidence-based medicine, empowering patients to achieve their highest attainable level of health.
Dr. Rabens was raised in Bradenton, FL and received his undergraduate engineering degree from the University of South Florida. He received his medical degree from the Uniformed Services University in Bethesda, MD and served as Chief Resident in Family Medicine. Dr. Rabens also holds a master’s in public health from Harvard University.
In his personal life, Dr. Rabens spends time with his family and enjoys reading, exercising, golfing and cooking.
