About Crawford Strunk

Biography

I am an associate staff member of the Cleveland Clinic and the Co-Director of the Sickle Cell Medical Neighborhood, a lifespan sickle cell comprehensive center. After completing medical school at SUNY Upstate Medical University, I completed a residency in pediatrics at the Janet Weiss Children's Hospital at Geisinger Medical Center in Pennsylvania, and finished my training in Pediatric Hematology/Oncology at Rainbow Babies and Children's Hospital here in Cleveland. I am currently the Chair of the Pediatric Pharmacy and Therapeutics Committee, and am an active member of the Cleveland Clinic Institutional Review Board.

I am a member of the American Society of Hematology, where I serve on the Steering Committee of the Sickle Cell Disease Coalition. I am on the Board of Directors of the National Alliance of Sickle Cell Centers, the executive team of the Sickle Cell Adult Provider Network, and I am also the Vice Chief Medical Officer of the Sickle Cell Disease Association of America.
