Biography
Dr. Daria Krivosheya is a staff neurosurgeon and is the Interim Chair of Neurosciences and the Head of Neurosurgery at Cleveland Clinic Akron General. She has advanced subspecialty training in neurosurgical oncology and provides comprehensive care for patients with a broad range of neurosurgical disorders.
Dr. Krivosheya specializes in the treatment of intracranial tumors and employs advanced neurosurgical techniques, including intraoperative functional mapping and monitoring, minimally invasive approaches, laser interstitial thermal therapy (LITT), endoscopic surgery, and awake craniotomy when appropriate. She is also certified in the use of Gamma Knife Stereotactic Radiosurgery for the treatment of intracranial tumors and trigeminal neuralgia. She also treats a wide range of cranial pathologies, including cerebrospinal fluid (CSF) disorders such as hydrocephalus, idiopathic intracranial hypertension, and Chiari malformation.
Dr. Krivosheya received her medical and master's of science degrees from the University of British Columbia in Vancouver, BC. She completed her neurosurgery residency at the University of Western Ontario in London, Ontario. She pursued advanced fellowship training in neurosurgical oncology at MD Anderson Cancer Center in Houston and at the Cleveland Clinic. She is a fellow of the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada and the American Association of Neurological Surgeons.
She is a member of the Rose Ella Burkhardt Brain Tumor and Neuro‑Oncology Center at Cleveland Clinic and works closely with multidisciplinary teams to deliver coordinated, patient‑centered care.
Dr. Krivosheya is known for her compassionate approach and commitment to clear communication and shared decision‑making. Her focus is to bring excellence and innovative neurosurgical care for intracranial and spinal disorders to the community.
