Ellen Rosenquist, MD

Ellen W. K. Rosenquist, MD, is an assistant professor of anesthesiology at the Cleveland Clinic Lerner College of Medicine at Case Western University. She joined the Department of Pain Management in the Anesthesiology Institute in July 2011.  She currently serves as the Medical Director for the Pain Management Department at the Twinsburg Family Health and Surgery Center. She served as the Associate Pain Management Fellowship Director from 2012-2014. She is actively involved with the Cleveland Clinic Lerner College of Medicine as a member of the Admissions Committee. Dr. Rosenquist comes to Cleveland Clinic from the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics.

Dr. Rosenquist received her medical degree on the Research Distinction Track in 2004 from the Carver College of Medicine at the University of Iowa in Iowa City, IA. She completed her residency in anesthesiology at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center, Harvard Medical School in Boston, MA. She completed a fellowship in Pain Management at the University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia, PA. She is board certified in both Anesthesiology and Pain Medicine. She is certified in Medical Acupuncture and is also trained in Frequency Specific Micro Current and the Fascial Distortion Model techniques for treating chronic pain. Clinically, Dr. Rosenquist treats adult pain patients using conventional, interventional, as well as integrative medical techniques.

Dr. Rosenquist an active member of the American Society of Regional Anesthesia (ASRA).  She served as the Faculty Advisor for the Resident Section from 2009-2015. She has served on numerous planning committees for the national meetings and currently serves as a member of the Continuing Medical Education Committee. She has lectured nationally and internationally on various topics pertaining to chronic pain management. She has published 10 peer reviewed research articles and 5 book chapters, and has presented 10 abstracts at national meetings.
