Biography
Emily Cherney, MSW, LISW-S is a licensed independent social worker who serves as the Supervisor of Acute Pediatric Behavioral Health, assisting with implementation of program development and oversight of the following services: the Adolescent IOP, the Acute Care Center, the Adolescent PHP, Emergency Room Crisis Clinicians, and the Mobile Intensive Intervention Team. In addition to this, Emily provides individual therapy for children and adolescents, addressing clinical concerns such as anxiety, depression, and trauma. She also runs both the virtual CBT Skills Group and in-person DBT Skills Group within the Division of Pediatric Psychology and Neurosciences at Cleveland Clinic. Emily maintains strong partnerships with community resources, such as Legal Aid, to enhance comprehensive support for patients and families. Emily Cherney earned her bachelor’s degree from The College of Wooster and her master’s degree in social work from Cleveland State University.
