Biography
Eric G. Weiss, MD, is the DIO and Chairman of Graduate Medical Education at Cleveland Clinic Florida, as well as the Residency Program Director of the Colorectal Training program, one of the largest training programs in the country. He currently serves on the Residency Review Committee for Colon and Rectal Surgery. He is also the Director of Surgical Endoscopy.
Dr. Weiss holds academic appointments as Assistant Professor of Surgery at The Cleveland Clinic Foundation Health Sciences Center of the Ohio State University and Clinical Assistant Professor of Surgery at the University of South Florida, Tampa, Florida.
He has published more than 200 manuscripts, more than 40 textbook chapters and more than 400 lectures throughout the United States and the world.

Spoke to Michael making an appt with Dr Weiss and found him exceptionally helpful and and also the gentleman who handeled the registration for my surgery with Dr Weiss was excellent and had a gentle way of speaking although I was in a hurry but he calmly was able to complete my registration

I had not seen Dr. Weiss in many years - yet his earnest concern, recollection & knowledge of my condition was remarkable. His help in bringing clarity to my health status and next steps was effective and his personal interest was encouraging, should I need to have follow up treatment. He is an outstandingly dedicated professional cloaked with wisdom and compassion! I only wish he could be cloned in all professions! What a privilege It must be to be a student/resident on his team.
