About Hany Aly

Title

Chair, Division of Neonatology

Biography

Dr. Hany Aly is a neonatologist dedicated to providing compassionate, family-centered care for premature and critically ill newborns. He leads neonatal services across several Cleveland Clinic hospitals and cares for infants with breathing difficulties, chronic lung disease, neurological concerns, congenital conditions, and feeding or growth challenges.

He is internationally recognized for advancing bubble CPAP, a gentle respiratory support method that has improved outcomes for premature infants around the world. Dr. Aly is committed to helping families feel supported, informed, and confident throughout their NICU journey.

Care Philosophy

“I believe that every baby deserves the highest level of care—and every family deserves to feel supported, informed, and heard. The NICU can be overwhelming, and my goal is to walk beside families through each step of their child’s care. I strive to combine the best evidence-based practices with compassion, clear communication, and respect for each family’s hopes and values. Healing in the NICU is a partnership, and I am honored to be part of that journey with the families I serve.”
