About Ina Chen

Biography

Ina Chen, MD, is a general surgeon with advanced training in minimally invasive techniques.  Her clinical interests include hiatal hernias and gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD), gallbladder disease, and abdominal wall hernias.  With her focus on minimally invasive approaches, she aims to reduce postoperative pain and shorten hospital stays for her patients.

Dr. Chen received her Bachelor of Arts from Cornell University and medical degree from the University of Michigan Medical School.  She completed her general surgery residency at Washington University in St. Louis/Barnes Jewish Hospital and fellowship in advanced laparoscopic and endoscopic surgery at Cleveland Clinic.  She is board-certified in general surgery.

    Dr Chen was my surgeon and the doctor I saw on this visit. She was very courteous then and now. So much so that my mother commented how nice she was after my surgery. Highly recommend. Hopefully I won't need her services again tho.

    General surgery doctor not sure of his name was very good. Dr gill who did the embolism was very good
