Biography
Jaclyn Bjelac, MD, is Assistant Professor of Pediatrics at the Cleveland Clinic Lerner College of Medicine at Case Western Reserve University, and serves as the Associate Director of the Cleveland Clinic Food Allergy Center of Excellence.
Dr. Bjelac is board certified in Pediatrics and Allergy/Immunology. She completed her undergraduate degree in biology with a concentration in neuroscience at John Carroll University in University Heights, OH. She earned her medical degree from Wright State University in Dayton, OH, and completed a residency in Pediatrics at University Hospitals Rainbow Babies' and Children's Hospital in Cleveland. Dr. Bjelac completed Allergy and Immunology Fellowship at the Cleveland Clinic in Cleveland, Ohio.
Dr. Bjelac is a member of several professional organizations, including the American College of Asthma Allergy and Immunology, American Academy of Asthma Allergy and Immunology, Cleveland Allergy Society, and is a Fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics.
Her specialty interests include food allergies, food allergen desensitization, oral immunotherapy, asthma, eczema, allergic rhinitis, drug allergy, allergen immunotherapy, and immunodeficiency. She is the principal investigator in research studies related to food allergy, and has published peer reviewed articles and presented abstracts in the fields of immunodeficiency, food allergy, and quality/patient communication.

Dr. Bejelac is wonderful. We cannot say enough good about her. Our girls feel at ease with her as do we. Except for the scheduling issue associated with this appointment, we have no complaints and feel blessed to have her caring for our daughters.

Dr. Bjelac was fantastic. My daughter hadn't been tested for her nut allergy since she was one and a half, and she had a lot of fear about it. Dr. Bjelac was kind, patient, and super informative. We were both immediately at ease with her, and we got more information about her nut allergy than we ever had!

Dr. Bjelac is amaziiiing! Our daughter loves her, and does very well with food challenges and other appointments when the doc is involved. Her nursing team is a rockstar makes our daughter feel comfortable and eased at each appointment!

Dr. Bjelac is so patient, understanding and supportive. She listens to both the parents and patient. She is so positive and thorough. Even though our daughter needs a epi pen for a latex allergy, which was overwhelming and scary her support and advice puts us at complete ease and confidence moving forward. We appreciate her.

Dr. Bjelac is an amazing physician. She is able to explain things simply and thoroughly and eased my concerns. She is also a mom who understands what it's like to worry about your child's wellbeing and she keeps it real! Speaking with Dr. Bjelac is more like seeing your super smart bestie rather than a stuffy physician. She seems to care for her patients like they are her own nieces/nephews! She was also able to expedite testing for my daughter's potential allergy which really eased my worries. Dr. Bjelac is a gem of a person and an amazing physician!

Dr. Bjelac is wonderful! She listened to our concerns (including my 6 year olds'!), shared clinical recommendations and research, and was patient and empathetic when my son showed anxiety about recommended procedures.
