I sat in the room for 45 minutes before she came in. She stared at her computer the entire time, scolded me on my health behaviors and brushed off concerns I had for my health. I ended up in the ER two days later with severe pain that could''ve entirely been avoided had she actually paid attention to my symptoms or read any of the test results In a timely manner. She also abruptly ended the appointment by saying she was getting paperwork and never came back in. The nurse entered the room and said I was to return in 3 months. I asked why, and even the nurse didn''t know. I felt belittled, shamed, and disrespected. This is an exact example why people avoid going to the doctor.

Dr Strickland shows excellent medical care and excellent interpersonal relating.

Dr. Strickland is an incredibly compassionate physician who always makes you feel comfortable and cared for. She is thorough in her approach and genuinely cares about her patients'' well-being. She is very considerate and prefers to avoid medications unless absolutely necessary. I have grown to deeply appreciate her knowledge and the sincere dedication she shows in caring for me.

I have now been with Dr. Strickland several years. I cannot express my total appreciation for her careful oversight of my health. Whether she is attentively listening to me describe problems, or discussing with me findings and/or concerns on testing results, or providing clear reasons for referrals to specialists, or providing her reasoning for the direction she is taking with medications, I ALWAYS have the solid impression she is present and thinking carefully. I hope to continue our relationship for a very long time. Cleveland Clinic is fortunate to have such a gem.
