I have seen many doctors in the 75 years of my life and I consider Dr. Achkar to be one of the best physicians that has cared for me. I first met him (it was a virtual visit) in fall 2020 after a hospitalization in my hometown of Erie, PA. There was some concern that a scan I had in the hospital reflected a potential gastro issue. I somehow had the amazing good fortune to be referred to Dr. Achkar. He throughly addressed my issue and even called me at home to assure me that everything was fine, as he knew that I was concerned. He's one of only two doctors to ever call me at home to reassure me regarding my condition. I feel privileged and blessed to be under the care of such a talented, compassionate doctor.
