Jeffrey Hershey, MD, FACC, is a staff cardiologist in the Section of Regional Cardiovascular Medicine in the Tomsich Family Department of Cardiovascular Medicine, Sydell and Arnold Miller Family Heart, Vascular & Thoracic Institute. He sees patients at Independence Family Health Center and Medina Hospital.

Education: Dr. Hershey earned his Doctorate of Medicine from Northeastern Ohio Universities College of Medicine, Rootstown, Ohio. He completed his internship and residency in internal medicine at Northeastern Ohio Universities College of Medicine Affiliated Hospitals in Akron, Ohio, followed by a fellowship in cardiovascular disease at Case Western Reserve University Affiliated Hospitals in Cleveland.
Prior to Dr. Hershey’s 2020 appointment to the Cleveland Clinic medical staff, he had been Chief of Cardiology for six years and Chief of Medicine for a year at Emory Johns Creek Hospital in Johns Creek, Ga.

This career has never felt like a job to me - it is something I truly enjoy doing on a daily basis.”
Leisure Activities: Outside of work, Dr. Hershey enjoys playing golf, basketball and tennis, working in the yard and woodworking in his home workshop.

He is friendly, informative and I feel Dr. Hershey respects me and provides care and information that I need to take care of myself. I really appreciated his concern and advice and felt listened to. I will be seeing him again in 6 months as long as I am doing well.
