About Jonathan Streit, MD

Biography
After receiving his undergraduate degree from the University of Notre Dame and his medical degree from the University of Michigan School of Medicine, Dr. Streit completed his internship and residency in orthopaedic surgery at University Hospitals of Cleveland. During his residency training, Dr. Streit also completed a year of dedicated research as a Dudley Allen Fellow, focusing on anatomic variaition and disorders of the shoulder in the lab of Dr. Reuben Gobezie. Following residency, he completed a fellowship in shoulder and elbow surgery at Florida Orthopaedic Institute, directed by Dr. Mark Frankle, a pioneer in reverse total shoulder replacement. Dr. Streit's interests in shoulder pathology include joint replacement and arthroscopy, rotator cuff tears and other tendon and ligament problems, sports injuries, and trauma. Dr. Streit has authored a number of publications and book chapters, including presenting at regional and national conferences.

As I said before, the PA was great. Dr. Streit was also outstanding. He put me at ease and he gave me the impression that he is really good and knowledgable at what he does. When my husband had rotator cuff surgery at the Crystal Clinic it seemed like an assembly line and very impersonal.

Dr. Strait pointed me in the right direction to get help for a nagging pain. I think he went above and beyond and x-rayed my neck rather than just my shoulder to find the problem. I appreciate that fact.
