Biography
Katherine R Jones, DO is a board-certified family medicine physician at the Lorain Family Health Center. She holds both allopathic and osteopathic family medicine board certifications and is also a diplomate of the American College of Lifestyle Medicine. In addition to providing primary care services, Dr. Jones sees patients in consultation for osteopathic manipulative therapy and lifestyle medicine. She received her Bachelor of Science in biology from Heidelberg University and attended medical school at Ohio University Heritage College of Osteopathic Medicine. She completed her residency with the Cleveland Clinic in 2014.
As a primary care physician, Dr. Jones aims to prevent disease and reduce complications from existing conditions. She works with her patients as partners in their health and strives to empower, educate, and engage patients in their journey to find health. She uses a whole person approach and understands that health encompasses more than the physical body, but also the mind, spirit, family, and community. Dr. Jones is Spanish speaking and through her career has served a large Spanish speaking patient population.
Her other professional interests include medical education and global health. Dr. Jones holds academic appointments at three local medical schools and is active in serving as a clinical preceptor. She is also involved with the Lakewood family medicine residency program as a preceptor and has taught part of the osteopathic curriculum. Dr. Jones has participated in and led several medical trips to various countries and has experience with international virtual health education.
Dr. Jones is a Cleveland native and enjoys mentoring with local youth organizations and exploring the great things the city and surrounding areas have to offer.
