Biography
Dr. Lauren Kopicky is a Breast Surgical Oncologist who joined the Clinic in 2022. She is board certified in General Surgery and completed her Breast Surgical Oncology Fellowship training at William Beaumont Hospital in Royal Oak, Michigan. She is an Assistant Professor of Surgery at Cleveland Clinic Lerner College of Medicine and Case Western Reserve University, as well as an Assistant Clinical Professor of Surgery at Ohio University Heritage College of Osteopathic Medicine.
She is a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons, American College of Osteopathic Surgeons, and Society of Surgical Oncology. She is actively involved in national society committees, serving as Vice Chair of the American College of Osteopathic Surgeons Awards Committee, and co-Chair of the Mid-Year Review Committee. She is a member of the Association of Women Surgeons.
She is certified in Breast Ultrasound by the American Society of Breast Surgeons and incorporates minimally invasive techniques into her practice. She has special interest in oncoplastic techniques, including nipple and nerve sparing mastectomies, Goldilocks mastectomy, and aesthetic flat closure. She works in close collaboration with industry partners to bring the latest advancements in breast cancer care directly to patients.
She actively trains medical students, surgical residents, and breast surgery fellows. She speaks regularly at national conferences, shares insights and experiences on podcasts and webinars, and has authored several peer-reviewed journal articles.

Dr.Kopicky was very compassionate and understanding. She validated what I was feeling in my breast and did an ultrasound. She reassured me that the Mass I was feeling was normal. She did however, order a breast MRI to be sure.I am very grateful for her thorough care.
