Biography
Leopoldo Arosemena, MD is a transplant hepatologist who joined Cleveland Clinic Weston Hospital in December 2023. He graduated from the University of Panama School of Medicine in 1998 and completed his residency in internal medicine at the University of Miami/Jackson Memorial Hospital in 2002. He then pursued a fellowship in gastroenterology at the same institution, followed by a fellowship in hepatology and liver transplantation at the Miami Institute of the University of Miami/Jackson Memorial Hospital, where he also worked as an assistant professor of medicine from 2006 to 2012. He was appointed as the Medical Director of the liver transplant center at Broward General Medical Center in 2008 and held that position until 2012. He is a frequent speaker at local and international conferences on topics related to liver diseases and transplantation and has published more than 50 peer-reviewed articles and book chapters on these subjects.

Using Cleveland Clinic for diagnosis and follow up for my health concerns and my husband''s health concerns and conditions has been the best choice we have made for all time for our health care needs. We both have received excellent care from the Doctors and super staff. The Doctors including Dr Arosemena, are very knowledgeable and experienced and best of all approachable. No question is too small, concerns are addressed in a timely manner, staff is always there to help facilitate good communication and follow up is comprehensive.

Dr. Arosemena was professional, thorough and informative. It was an absolute first time in my life (many decades) that a physician sat , reviewed my history, labs and acknowledged me. He actually listened. I have never had this type of experience with an MD.

Dr, Arosemana was as kind as he was thorough. He was patient and forthcoming with answers to my many questions. We are still in the testing stage so I don't have a clear diagonsis or treatment plan yet, but I am very confident in Dr. Arosemena. I certainly don't know if he cared for me as a paerson, but he sure acted as if he had been my family doctor for years!

I was impressed with the time he took and his questions to assess my history that gave him a clear picture of what might be my problem and how to proceed with treatment. At least 40 minutes with him as well as the time with the nurse/practitioner another 20 minutes.
