She is board certified in vascular surgery, a Registered Physician in Vascular Interpretation and a fellow of the American College of Surgeons.

Education: Dr. Masterson earned her medical degree from The Ohio State University College of Medicine, Columbus, Ohio, and a Master of Business Administration from University of Notre Dame, Notre Dame, Ind. She completed a general surgery residency at William Beaumont Hospital, Royal Oak, Mich., followed by a vascular surgery fellowship at The Ohio State University College of Medicine.
Dr. Masterson joined the Cleveland Clinic Akron General medical staff after completing her fellowship.
Research, Publications and Speaking: Dr. Masterson has presented at local, regional and national professional meetings. As associate program director of Akron General’s general surgery residency, she is responsible for oversight of resident research.
About Dr. Masterson: “I enjoy my field because it allows me to develop long-term relationships with my patients, as well as treat a wide spectrum of vascular conditions. Vascular surgery can be very complex, and individualizing treatment for each patient is important. Treatment can be surgical or medical, and understanding the needs of each patient is crucial.”

Dr Masterson was knowledgeable and interested in giving me all of the details related to situation. She wanted to make sure that I understood everything and was interested in making sure I was aware of what my alternatives. She use pictures and charts to clearly explain what I was dealing with. I was very comfortable with all of the information.

I love Dr. Mastetson. She is very down to earth & willing to explain & answer questions in layman's terms. I have the utmost respect for her.
