Biography
M. Shazam Hussain, MD is a board certified neurologist, with specializations in vascular neurology and endovascular surgical neuroradiology, the director of Cleveland Clinic's Cerebrovascular Center, and an associate professor of neurology in the Cleveland Clinic Lerner College of Medicine. He obtained his medical degree from the University of Saskatchewan in Saskatoon, Canada, and completed both his neurology residency and vascular neurology fellowship at the University of Alberta in Edmonton, Canada. Upon completion of his vascular neurology fellowship, Dr. Hussain completed an endovascular surgical neuroradiology fellowship at Cleveland Clinic. In 2011 he was appointed staff in Cleveland Clinic's Cerebrovascular Center and became center director in 2016. Dr. Hussain has more than 200 peer reviewed publications and is considered an international expert in cerebrovascular disease. His research and clinical interests include endovascular therapy for hemorrhagic and ischemic cerebrovascular disease, including cerebral aneurysms, arteriovenous malformations, extracranial and intracranial stenosis, and acute ischemic stroke.

I would highly recommend a video conference. Staff were very helpful. Dr.Hussian did such a good job showing and explaining all the details in the MRI. Very knowledgeable. We highly recommend Dr Hussian. Dr. Hussian and the staff took a personal interest in me and made me feel comfortable.
