Biography
Marita offers Holistic Psychotherapy within the Center for Integrative and Lifestyle Medicine. As a Clinical Social Worker, Marita assists clients with developing and discovering personal resources to help clients navigate difficult life experiences.
For the last 35 years Marita has been working with adolescents and adults from diverse backgrounds in a variety of treatment settings. Most recently, Marita has been in private practice, primarily working with clients experiencing depression, anxiety, grief and adjusting to major life changes.
Marita is well versed in a variety of treatment approaches, based on client needs and preferences, including cognitive-behavioral therapy and Heart Centered Hypnotherapy. These methods aid in the development of personal tools to manage emotions and thoughts, resolve conflict, and address problems.
