I saw Dr. Megan KRUSE for a second opinion. She was not my first second opinion, but she was the first medical oncologist who allowed me to be honest with her about all the alternative things I was doing to help combat recurrence of my cancer. And she was aware of them and their clinical significance and how they might interact with my standard of care treatment, she was the first medical oncologist I have encountered that was open to hearing this information and was nonjudgmental and actually supportive of me being my own advocate on this terrible journey with cancer.
