Michael McNamara, MD, is Associate Staff in the Department of Solid Tumor Oncology at Cleveland Clinic Taussig Cancer Institute. Dr. McNamara is board-certified in internal medicine and medical oncology. His specialty areas include esophageal cancer, pancreatic cancer, stomach cancer, and solid tumor disorders.
Dr. McNamara received his B.S. degree at The Ohio State University in Columbus, Ohio, and his medical degree from Case Western Reserve University School of Medicine in Cleveland, Ohio. He completed an internship and internal medicine residency at University of Pittsburgh Medical Center in Pennsylvania, followed by a medical oncology fellowship, also at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center. Dr. McNamara was appointed as an Associate Staff Physician in Solid Tumor Oncology in 2008.

I had many procedures and RN and Doctors. Dr. McNamara is the best Doctor I have ever seen. He is very personable, highly knowledgeable, an inherent ability to break down my diagnosis where I felt he cared and I understood. Unbelievable bedside manner. I trust him and that speaks volumes when you have a very serious diagnosis. God bless him and his staff.

Dr Michael McNamara did a great job. He was patient with all the questions regarding my diagnosis and the plan we are planning to implement before the end of the month. He aslo disccussed alternative yet not readily qualified approaches. He made us feel very comfortable. I have already recommended Dr McNamara to other friends. This may have been the best Dr visit that I have ever had at the Cleveland Clinic. We never felt rushed to get out of there.

Dr. McNamara is the best doctor I have ever encountered. He is knowledgeable, but more important, he makes me feel that he cares about me. He is also very good at listening, considering my opinion, and going out of his way to try to help me, even in areas that are not his specialty.

Dr. McNamara is one of a kind. He is professional, knowledgeable, and also has the most wonderful bed side manner. He has the ability to read people which I believe dictates his approach with each patient. I look forward to my appointments with him because he makes me feel like we''re a team and that I have a say in my care. He''s easy to talk to and not boring at all which helps.

My Physician is the best. He takes the time to go over the results and explain in detail what the results mean. When it comes to the next steps regarding my treatment, we discuss it together. He is always pleasant and I feel like he truly cares about me as a person.

Dr. McNamara is absolutely the BEST!! I say this after visiting 6 different hospital organizations since my diagnosis. I am SO grateful to be his patient. He is so knowledgeable, thorough, patient, kind, and is a great listener focusing on what is important to the patient. He also has a great sense of humor and makes the visit very pleasant. Doctor is always approachable & takes time to answer questions. I like to be cognizant of his time, I never feel rushed through. He takes time to review labs in front of you and explain. He communicates & collaborates on my care. It's worth the trip to follow with him.
