Biography:
Osama Alalao, MD, is a urologist at Cleveland Clinic Florida with a specialized focus on the treatment and prevention of kidney stone disease. he has extensive experience in endourology and minimally invasive urologic surgery, including advanced robotic techniques, and has been involved in robotic surgery since 2011.
Dr. Alalao completed advanced urologic training at leading academic institutions, including Cleveland Clinic, Brown University, and Mount Sinai in New York. His fellowship training emphasized complex stone disease, minimally invasive and robotic urologic surgery, and innovative surgical approaches to improve patient outcomes.
He has been a pioneer in the development and application of advanced surgical techniques, including single port donor nephrectomy and novel intracorporeal stone fragmentation methods. Dr. Alalao has contributed to academic publications, surgical innovations, and intellectual property related to urologic surgery and stone management.
Dr. Alalao is actively involved in building and expanding a comprehensive kidney stone center of excellence, with a focus on multidisciplinary care, metabolic stone prevention, and regional access to advanced stone treatment. His clinical and academic interests include improving care delivery for patients with recurrent and complex stone disease and advancing minimally invasive surgical solutions.
