Biography
Dr. Grieco is an orthopedic surgeon specializing in hip and knee musculoskeletal care including primary hip and knee replacement, revision hip and knee replacement, and partial knee replacement. He performs both direct anterior and posterior approaches as best suited to his patients' needs. In addition, he utilizes the latest technologies including robotics to produce optimal outcomes. He is an active member of the American Academy of Orthopedic Surgeons (AAOS) as well as the American Association of Hip & Knee Surgeons (AAHKS).Dr. Grieco's education began at the College of the Holy Cross in Worcester, Massachusetts, where he graduated 'cum laude' with a bachelor of arts in biology. Returning to his native state of New York, he continued his studies at SUNY Downstate Health Sciences University School of Medicine in Brooklyn. From there he also graduated 'cum laude' and was inducted into the prestigious Alpha Omega Alpha (AOA) National Medical Honor Society. He continued on at SUNY Downstate to complete a five year orthopedic surgery residency receiving rather varied experience in a busy inner city hospital. With a good understanding of his talents and interests, Dr. Grieco then pursued further subspecialty training through a fellowship at the Cleveland Clinic in Weston, Florida where he focused on complex hip and knee reconstruction. He has contributed to the orthopedic literature as the author of many peer reviewed journal articles as well as multiple book chapters.
