Biography
Dr. Renee Markovich graduated from the Northeastern Ohio Universities College of Medicine (now NEOMED) in May 1994. She did her residency at Southwest Georgia Family Practice Residency in Atlanta and graduated in 1997. Dr Markovich entered private practice in 1997 in Hicksville, Ohio and joined our residency staff fulltime as a Clinical Associate Director in June of 2004.
Dr. Markovich has clinical and educational interests in pediatrics, women’s health, and medication assisted treatment for opioid addiction. She serves on many committees of Cleveland Clinic Akron General including the Newborn Committee. She is active at NEOMED in various ways including the Family Medicine Interest Group where she has served as advisor. Dr. Markovich is also politically active at the state and national level. She was president of the Ohio Academy of Family Physicians from 2007-2008 and serves not on the Board of Trustees of the American Academy of Family Physicians Foundation.
Dr. Markovich is married and she and her wife, Donna, enjoy many cultural and sports activities including the Cleveland Cavaliers.
