Biography
I have many years of experience in the evaluation and treatment of heart rhythm disorders. I am trained in the evaluation and treatment of bradycardia or slow heart rhythms, including implantation of various cardiac devices such as pacemakers and implantable cardioverter defibrillators (ICD). I am trained and have extensive experience with more advanced management of implantable cardiac devices, including extraction (removal) of such devices. I am also trained in the evaluation and treatment of tachycardia or rapid heart rhythms, such as supraventricular tachycardia (SVT) and ventricular tachycardia (VT). Treatment of such heart rhythm disorders can include medications or a procedure, catheter ablation. I have particular interest and training in management and catheter ablation of more advanced, complex heart rhythm disorders including atrial fibrillation, with nearly 20 years of experience.
In my personal time, I enjoy spending time with my family. I enjoy hiking, running, biking and other forms of exercise for fitness. I am proud to be a physician in the area near my hometown, and I particularly enjoy the privilege of providing care to people with heart rhythm problems.

Dr. Schweikert is a wonderful doctor. He lets me ask questions and answers them with thoughtfulness and concern. I already have recommended him to others in my family who are now his patients. I definitely would recommend him to others.

Even with a bit of a delay, I would always give Dr. Schweikert five stars or A+ plus. He is thorough, kind and takes time to ask me questions and listen to any of my concerns.

Staff very friendly. Dr Schweihert was wonderful. So nice explained everything so I understood. Spent all the time I needed with me. Did not rush. One of the nicest doctors I've ever been with.
