About Roopa Thakur

Biography

Roopa Thakur, MD, FAAP, is a pediatrician at Cleveland Clinic Children's. She's board certified in general pediatrics. She earned her medical degree from The Ohio State University College of Medicine in Columbus, OH and completed her post-graduate training at Cleveland Clinic Children’s in Cleveland, OH.  

Dr. Thakur is a Fellow Member of the American Academy of Pediatrics. She is dedicated to teaching residents and medical students and serves as Associate Program Director of Cleveland Clinic Children's Pediatric Residency Program. She is interested in population health and advocacy, currently serving as Medical Director for Cleveland Clinic's Children's School-Based Health Care, Medical Director for Youth Strategies in Community Health and Partnerships and Medical Director of the Ohio AAP's Lead-Free Ohio Program. 

Her clinical interests include general pediatrics and preventive care, asthma management, attention deficit disorder, and newborn care.
