Biography
Dr. Roshawn Brown is a fellowship-trained sports medicine physician at Cleveland Clinic. His clinical practice is grounded in a comprehensive, patient-centered approach to musculoskeletal care, with a particular focus on helping athletes and active individuals return to the activities that matter most to them.
Dr. Brown completed his undergraduate education at the University of Florida and earned his medical degree from the University of Pittsburgh. Hew went on to complete a residency in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center, followed by a fellowship in Sports Medicine at Mayo Clinic in Jacksonville, Florida.
His clinical interests include soccer medicine; diagnostic and interventional point-of-care ultrasound; community health; lifestyle medicine; and the social aspects of the relationship between athletes and their healthcare providers. Through this work, he is especially interested in the ways clinical care, prevention, and education can impact the broader community.
In addition to his clinical work, Dr. Brown has contributed to numerous research projects evaluating the efficacy of Ortho biologics and regenerative medicine. His academic interests reflect a commitment to examining emerging treatment approaches thoughtfully and applying evidence-informed care to the needs of athletes and active patients.
