About Sadhana Sharma

Biography

Dr. Sadhana Sharma is a staff physician and the Quality Improvement Officer of the Cleveland Clinic's Urgent Cares and Express Cares. In this role, she oversees quality and patient safety for all the urgent cares and express cares at Cleveland Clinic. She is passionate about acute ambulatory care, quality improvement, patient safety, quality assurance, patient outcomes, peer reviewing, systems thinking, strategic initiative and process improvement. She also oversees clinical and operational management as a co-director of Bainbridge Urgent Care and Mentor Express Care.

In addition to these responsibilities, Dr. Sharma serves her peers as an advanced Peer Coach at the Cleveland Clinic Center for Executive Coaching and Mentoring and a peer support in the Cleveland Clinic’s Emerge Stronger program. She has also stepped up as a physician leader facilitator for Lead the Way professional development program. Furthermore, she is a teacher to medical students during their longitudinal ambulatory track. She has received an honor of an outstanding teacher. She holds academic rank of Assistant Professor at the Cleveland Clinic Lerner College of Medicine and Case Western Reserve University School of Medicine. 

She is an active member of the American Academy of Family Practice (AAFP), Urgent Care Association (UCA) and American Board of Quality Assurance and Utilization Review Physicians (ABQAURP). Dr. Sharma completed her Family Medicine residency at the Aurora St. Luke's Family Medicine Residency, University of Wisconsin, Milwaukee, and Urgent Care Medicine Fellowship at the University Hospital, Cleveland, Ohio. 

Dr. Sharma’s civic and community involvement includes volunteering for various projects with Cleveland Metroparks, urban gardening in inner city food desert and supporting Healing Through Harmonies initiative.
