Biography
Dr. Sandra Darling, DO, is a preventive medicine physician and Director of the Women’s Alzheimer’s Movement (WAM) Prevention and Research Center at Cleveland Clinic. She prescribes evidence-based lifestyle medicine to slow cognitive decline, reduce Alzheimer’s disease risk, and optimize health in midlife and beyond.
Dr. Darling has developed clinical programs that address Alzheimer’s disease risk, Mild Cognitive Impairment (MCI), and menopausal cognitive changes. She sees patients through the WAM Prevention and Research Center in Cleveland and Las Vegas and leads shared medical appointments focused on brain health and wellness.
In addition to her clinical work, Dr. Darling conducts women’s brain health research in collaboration with the Women’s Comprehensive Health and Research Center.
Before entering medicine, Dr. Darling worked in architecture and design in San Francisco. She later chose to pursue a career in medicine after a transformative personal experience improving her own longstanding health challenges through dietary changes and other lifestyle modifications.
