Biography
Sara W. Liu, MD is a fellowship-trained Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgeon, and a board-certified Otolaryngologist-Head and Neck Surgeon. Dr. Liu specializes exclusively in plastic surgery of the face, head, and neck, and performs cosmetic, functional, and reconstructive procedures. She has had advanced training in head and neck microvascular reconstruction to address difficult and complex defects of the face, head, and neck using free tissue transfer. Her clinical expertise also includes rhinoplasty, facial feminization surgery, skin cancer reconstruction, facial rejuvenation surgery, and treatment of facial nerve disorders.
Dr. Liu focuses exclusively on facial plastic surgery, and her years of experience and extensive training allows her to offer a tailored, patient-specific approach to each patient's individual concerns.
Dr. Liu graduated with honors from Boston University School of Medicine. She then completed her residency in Otolaryngology - Head and Neck Surgery at the Cleveland Clinic. Following residency, Dr. Liu was selected for advanced fellowship training in Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery at University of Minnesota, sponsored by the American Academy of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery. She has been appointed Assistant Professor of Otolaryngology - Head & Neck Surgery by the Cleveland Clinic Lerner College of Medicine of Case Western Reserve University.

I have a lot of confidence in Dr Sara. She listens to me, she is compassionate (so many doctors seem to lose thier compassion) she is caring , knowledgeable and responsive to my needs and inquiries. I drive almost 5 hours for her treatment.

Dr Liu has been amazing through the entire surgical process. She has been kind, knowledgeable, patient and professional. Bed side manner has been fantastic and put my daughter at ease and It helped in her recovery. She has been accommodating and willing to see her even on non-clinic days due to her college schedule. Would highly recommend her to others!

Dr Liu is such an amazing Dr. She treated me while I was admitted at the hospital, listened to me concerning my symptoms- was very caring and compassionate. She also did my lymph node removal surgery, at the follow up appointment she answered all my questions and concerns.

Dr. Liu listened very well to all of the questions I had during the entire process. She was very informative and knowledgeable to any questions or concerns I had before and after getting my procedure. I have already recommended her and gave her Info to friends liking how the outcome of my procedure was.

Only issue is that there are no appointments available after work hours. I always have to miss work to address my health issues, which adds stress and financial burden to my situation due to missed wages. Dr Liu is absolutely outstanding. She is an amazing doctor and surgeon. 11/10.
