Biography
Sharon A. Sutherland, MD, MPH specializes in minimally invasive gynecology procedures to diagnose and treat abnormal uterine bleeding or precancers of the cervix. She also specializes in gynecologic ultrasound. Dr. Sutherland is the Director of the Center for Prevention of Cervical Cancer, which empowers caregivers and communities to eliminate cervical cancer. She trains ob/gyn residents and women’s health fellows in office-based and surgical procedures. Dr. Sutherland also serves as Medical Director for Supply Chain at Cleveland Clinic. She co-chairs Enterprise Reprocessing Governance Council, which standardizes clinical workflows to drive excellence in medical device sterilization and disinfection across all Cleveland Clinic locations. She is a fellow in the American Institute of Ultrasound Medicine as well as American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology. Dr. Sutherland is a Clinical Assistant Professor of Ob/Gyn and Reproductive Biology at Cleveland Clinic Lerner College of Medicine of Case Western Reserve University.

I have been a doctor since 1976. I have had my gyn condition for about 20 years and have been to many gyn doctors. None compare to Dr. Sutherland. She really touches your heart with her kindness and gentle manner. Her answers to questions are well organized and thorough. I respect her judgement and trust her.

Dr. Sutherland expressed empathy and encouraged my daughter to hold my hand during the procedure. The Dr was very thorough in her explanations. I felt like I was in the best of hands and despite the long wait for my appointment I feel being in Dr Sutherland 's hands was worth the wait.
