Biography
Dr. Laique's clinical and academic interests focus on the care of patients with metabolic complications of obesity, particularly Metabolic dysfunction-associated Steatotic Liver Disease (MASLD, formerly NAFLD), MASH-related cirrhosis, and post-transplant cardiometabolic complications. She co-founded the Cleveland Clinic's MASLD Task Force. This initiative fosters collaboration across specialties, including endocrinology, primary care, bariatric surgery, and transplant surgery, to develop best practices and research focused on improving screening, management, and patient outcomes for MASLD and associated comorbidities.
Through her clinical expertise and commitment to collaborative research, Dr. Laique aims to play a vital role in advancing the care of patients with complex liver conditions.
