Biography
Tamanna Singh, MD, is a clinical cardiologist (heart specialist) and Director of the Sports Cardiology Center and the Stress ECG Lab in the Robert and Suzanne Tomsich Department of Cardiovascular Medicine, Sydell and Arnold Miller Family Heart, Vascular & Thoracic Institute. She sees patients at Cleveland Clinic Main Campus.

Education: Dr. Singh earned her medical degree from Boston University School of Medicine and served her residency at Boston Medical Center. She served a three-year fellowship in cardiology at Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai, New York, NY, then returned to Boston to complete her specialty training in sports cardiology with the Cardiovascular Performance Program fellowship at Massachusetts General Hospital. She joined the Cleveland Clinic medical staff upon completion of that experience in June 2018
Experience and Outcomes: As a sports cardiologist Dr. Singh has provided cardiac care for professional sports teams, competitive and recreational athletes and highly active individuals. She has significant experience in cardiopulmonary exercise testing specifically in athletes and has participated in multiple pre-participation screening events for collegiate and professional athletes to help ensure their safe participation in sports.
Research and Publications: Dr. Singh’s current research interest lies in comparing the effects of a plant-based diets vs. an all-inclusive diet on heart health. She has published research papers in medical journals on exercise, sports and the heart and has presented at national medical meetings.
About Dr. Singh: “As a clinical and sports cardiologist, I am humbled by how effective a healthy diet and intentional physical activity can be at reducing patients' risk of cardiovascular disease and/or disease progression. It is a privilege to support individuals not only when they are unwell but also as they progress towards achieving healthier lifestyles. As a former competitive athlete, I find caring and advocating for athletes of all ages incredibly rewarding. My patients inspire me to maintain my personal commitment to wellness and healthy, active living.”
Leisure Activities: In her leisure time, Dr. Singh enjoys running, yoga, plant-based cooking, reading and spending time with her family and two dogs.
