About Vickram Tejwani

Biography

Dr. Vickram Tejwani is an Assistant Professor with dual appointments in the Departments of Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine and Genomic Science and Systems Biology at the Cleveland Clinic Lerner College of Medicine. Dr. Tejwani has a clinical, educational, and research focus on airways disease (asthma, COPD, alpha-1 antitrypsin deficiency). He serves as a referral physician for complex asthma and COPD cases within Cleveland Clinic and provides disease specific education statewide and nationally. Dr. Tejwani is an active researcher whose work is funded by the NIH and national foundational grants. In addition to his clinical, educational, and research responsibilities, he holds leadership roles in the American Thoracic Society, European Respiratory Society and multicenter studies focused on airways diseases. 

Dr. Tejwani completed his medical training at China Medical University followed by a year of research training at the Mayo Clinic. He then completed his internal medicine residency training at the Cleveland Clinic, where he was selected to be a Chief Resident. Following his residency he completed a clinical and research Pulmonary and Critical Care Fellowship at Johns Hopkins University, before returning to the Cleveland Clinic.
