Biography

Wadie Shabab, MD, FAAP, is a pediatrician at Cleveland Clinic Children's. He is Vice Chair for Primary Care Pediatrics, Vice Chair for Access Optimization & Ambulatory Operations for the Children's Institute, Medical Director for Cleveland Clinic Children's Outpatient Center at Main Campus.

Dr. Shabab is board certified in general pediatrics. He earned his medical degree from Damascus University and Hospitals in Damascus, Syria. His post-graduate training includes a pediatric residency with Henry Ford Hospital in Detroit, Michigan.

Dr. Shabab is a Fellow Member of, and Board Certified, by the American Academy of Pediatrics. In addition, he has served on several Cleveland Clinic committees, including the Pediatric Institute Same Day Access Committee, Patient Experience Committee and the Community Pediatrics Strategic Planning Committee. He also has volunteered his time for Fit Youth Family Weight Management as a program speaker as well as with the Michigan State Special Olympics, providing physical exams.

He is currently part of the Children's Hospital Executive Committee, Pediatrics Institute Engagement Team, Online Appointment Scheduling Task Force, Community Pediatrics Marketing and Media Team, Nurse On Call - Pediatric Institute, Physician Liaison and Access to Primary Care Pediatrics, Team Lead.

Dr. Shabab has previously been selected as one of the "Best Doctors" in America, as well as a "Top Doctor" by Castle Connolly Medical, LTD.
