Biography

Walter H. Henricks, MD, FCAP, is Vice-Chair for Safety, Quality and Patient Experience in the Department of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine at Cleveland Clinic. He also holds the position of CLIA Laboratory Director for Cleveland Clinic Main Campus Laboratories.

Dr. Henricks’ professional interests and expertise in pathology and laboratory medicine include laboratory leadership, accreditation and regulation, quality management systems, data analytics, laboratory operations, digital pathology, and management of laboratory/pathology data in electronic health records. He is a nationally recognized authority on laboratory accreditation and pathology informatics and is a frequently invited national speaker. He has served in multiple leadership positions in national professional societies including the College of American Pathologists (CAP) and the Association for Pathology Informatics (API).
