Dr. Clifton is an extraordinary physician. He is very easy to speak with, is very thorough, explains things very clearly so a lay person can understand the issues, etc. He is kind, compassionate, professional and honest. I recommend him highly! We are honored that he is on the CCF staff!

Dr. Clifton was running behind but the fact that he takes so long listening to his patients and answering questions makes up for it. I''ve been to many surgeons and I didn''t feel rushed but totally felt heard and the way he explained things was very good.

Again, I knew Dr. Clifton who I contacted directly and who greatly accommodated the urgency of my surgery. Initially, I was diverted to spine for an evaluation where Dr. Hsia recognized immediately that I needed an MRI and likely surgery. I knew this before being directed to spine. Still, I went through the process even though my I knew I needed an MRI and surgery nonetheless, making the initial spine evaluation unnecessary.

Dr. Clifton is just fantastic. Nurses on the 6th floor were just the best. So nice & helpful! So caring.

Megan Lynch was very thorough and efficient.Dr Clifton was well worth the wait! He explained all of my X-rays and actually EXAMINED my back, waist and hips! He looked my husband and me in the eyes. He spent time explaining my condition and a plan. He is amazing! My husband and I left the appointment with hope and visualizing a light at the end of the tunnel. It will be a long road, but I have the utmost confidence in Dr Clifton and the Cleveland Clinic.

In all respects, Dr. Clifton is exceptional . He is the most knowledgeable and compassionate Spine surgeon I have ever known.In showing and discussing the MRI with me I could easily understand the need for surgery on a fracture. Additionally of concern to him was finding the most effective and quickest manner of having me hospitalized for surgery that should not be delayed. His plan was amazing. He was concerned about the severity of my pain and insuring an ease in having the ER team evaluating the need for admission.

I've been treated by another doctor at Cleveland Clinic for 5 years. I learned more about my condition in 30 minutes with Dr. Clifton than I had in 5 years (and 3 surgeries) with the other doctor.

Dr Clifton is one of the kindest and caring providers I have experienced. He has gone out of his way to make me understand my situation and include other specialists when necessary. He includes my spouse in discussion and clearly uses our input in his recommendations. I trust his expertise so much that I travel 4 hours to see him.
